Riyadh Master: $15 Million Tournament Preview!
The top teams in Dota 2 will gather once more in the city of Riyadh to compete in a $15 million prize pool tournament. The event will kick off on July 17, 2023, at 5:00 Eastern time.
We are going to be treated to multiple matches at the same time, so make sure to check which stream your favourite team will be playing.
20 teams were selected to compete in this event, 8 teams are going directly to the group stage and the rest will go through a brutal Play-in stage. After the group stage is concluded, the remaining 12 teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket and the Champion will receive a whopping $5 million dollar prize.
The obvious favourite will be Gaimin Gladiators, they have won all the majors this season and they are on the right track to take this one as well. Quinn is looking unstoppable and their overall tactics and team fight is looking flawless.
Then there is Team Liquid, always the bridesmaid, never the bride. They placed 2nd in all of the majors this year and they always fell short against Quinn and the boys. They are playing well against every other team but they can’t seem to break Gaimin Gladiators.
The Chinese teams are a constant threat when it comes to international tournaments. Last year’s champion PSG.LGD is back to defend their title but at the moment they are looking mid, to be honest.
The rest of the teams seem to be almost evenly matched. I can see each and every one of them beating each other in a series.
Overall I am expecting an entertaining event. This will serve as a preview to the upcoming International 12 in October and we will definitely see all teams giving it their all to get the prize and glory.
